A BRAZEN bike thief who swiped a ride from a Pascoe Vale South front yard has been caught on camera.
The offender slowly walked into the front yard of a home on Moreland Rd about 2.45am on Monday.

In security footage shared with the Leader, the offender is seen crossing the road after picking out his target. He then strolls up the front steps of the home and emerges about 45 seconds later with a bike in tow before riding off.
Victim Achille Maiotti said the offender must have picked the lock on his bike before stealing it and he has since bought a bigger chain to lock up his remaining bikes.
Mr Maiotti said he hadn’t been the victim of a theft before but wanted to share the vision to warn his neighbours.
“I don’t think the bike will ever be found but at least people are aware of what’s happening around,” he said.
Bike thefts have plagued Moreland in recent months, particularly in Brunswick, with police urging people to ensure bikes are securely locked and to record serial numbers to help track stolen items.
