A tense four-hour siege has ended in dramatic fashion after critical incident response police stormed a house in Glenroy to arrest a man who was holed up inside.
Police were called to the View St property about 9.05pm on Tuesday night following reports of a disturbance.
Victoria Police spokesman Sam Bidey said the stand-off started when police arrived and a man refused to leave the house.
He said officers started negotiations with the man, which lasted almost four hours.
“Members of the Critical Incident Response Team entered the house shortly after 1am and arrested a 43-year-old Glenroy man without incident,” he said.
