A mum present while her bikie boyfriend allegedly pulled a gun and clobbered a man with a hammer during a kidnapping in Melbourne’s northwest is back on the streets.

Rory Walker, 33, fronted Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday after she was charged with kidnapping, assault and armed robbery.

It’s alleged Walker, Rebels OMCG enforcer Phillip Maynard and Lort Smith staffer Erin Gray were present at the violent ordeal.

The court heard Gray lured a 29-year-old man to Craigieburn under the ruse of a proposed GHB drug deal on May 15 this year.

It’s alleged Gray and Walker picked the man up from his home and drove him to a dead-end dirt road.

Walker “discreetly” texted Maynard while he allegedly tailed Gray’s car with a point-to-point camera on route to the dirt road, the court was told.

It’s alleged Maynard, who wore a Rebels belt and hoodie entered Gray’s car and confronted the man.

“Apparently you stood over my son for juice (GHB),” Maynard allegedly said.

Maynard then allegedly punched the man “15-20” times in the head.

It’s also alleged Maynard pulled out a hammer and whacked the man in his face, back of the head and hand.

The court heard Maynard whacked the man’s kneecaps with the hammer after he said Maynard’s son was a liar.

Maynard allegedly stole the man’s gold chain, $1650 Gucci side bag, iPhone, Versace wallet, cash and a garage door remote.

Maynard then allegedly pulled out pliers and partially removed a handgun from a bag which he showed to the man.

Maynard allegedly threatened to rip out the man’s nose rings with the pliers then demanded he hand over a bracelet and a silver Lorus watch.

The court heard Maynard, who also allegedly threatened the man with a 15cm knife, found a contact named ‘Sam Haddara’ in the alleged victim’s phone.

Maynard filmed the man after he was forced to say he “buys kilos (of drugs) from the Haddaras”, the court was told.

Maynard then allegedly made a phone call on loudspeaker.

“I’ve got a c*** in the back who stood over my son and I need help,” Maynard said.

“I need sulfuric acid and caustic soda.”

“I can’t I’m at work,” the other caller said.

“Just put the c*** in the boot and wait until tomorrow.”

The man told Maynard he was in the Hells Angels.

Maynard said he would call “Brendon from East County Hells Angels”.

“I’ve got one of yours and he is running around saying he is the president,” Maynard allegedly said on the phone.

The victim heard ‘Brendon’ say “just drop him off”.

It’s alleged Maynard drove to a nearby road where he assaulted the man again.

Maynard handed the man baby wipes and told him to “clean himself up” because “there was blood everywhere”.

The man attempted to run but couldn’t because his of injured kneecaps.

Passers-by found him a short time later.

Gray’s car was impounded on May 25.

A forensic investigator later found blood splatter within the vehicle.

Maynard and Walker were arrested at Walker’s Kilmore home on June 9.

Specialist police dispatched to take Maynard down ordered a “cordon and call” to negotiate his surrender.

Maynard eventually surrendered to police after 18 minutes.

Investigators suspected he used the time to destroy evidence.

Its alleged Walker told police Maynard drilled holes in multiple electronic devices including a phone.

Echo Taskforce detective Senior Constable Tamika Butters opposed Walker’s bail bid due to her Rebels association and knowledge of the alleged victim’s address.

“Investigators cannot guarantee the victim’s life will be safe from reprisal attacks conducted by Walker or members of the Rebels OMCG,” detective Butters said.

The court heard Maynard, 37, of Wallan, is a fully patched Rebels OMCG Melbourne chapter sergeant-at-arms.

The court heard Gray, a mother employed at the Lort Smith adoption centre, was a “frequent” GHB user.

Walker, a mother, was bailed with strict conditions including she not keep encrypted message apps on her phone.

Prosecutor Amy Hando submitted Maynard was the “principal” offender but Walker “played a part”.

Maynard remains on remand to face court at a later date.

Gray, 35, of Wallan, was granted bail on July 1.
