THERE was plenty of colour in Gisborne on Sunday.
More than 650 participants and 100 volunteers were involved in the fourth Macedon Ranges Health Annual Colour Run and Walk.
Service chief executive Don Tidbury said the event gave Macedon Ranges Health the opportunity to involve itself actively in its community.
It also linked fellow agencies to the Gisborne community.
“For this to be our fourth year of the event and have such continued enthusiasm and support from the community is incredible,” he said.
“The colour run is Macedon Ranges Health’s flagship health promotion event, and it provides a great day out for the family while encouraging healthy, active lifestyles and social inclusion.”
Funds raised from the event will support Macedon Ranges Health programs including primary care, NDIS, welfare, home care and residential aged care.
Major sponsors Bendigo Bank and Neal Street Medical Clinic and volunteer groups such as the Gisborne Mens Shed, Live4Life Crew, Gisborne Scouts, Gisborne Thunder Swimming Club, Gisborne Church of Christ, Gisborne Rotary and Gisborne SES assisted with the event.
