A house fire in Melbourne’s inner north jolted neighbours from their sleep as more than 30 firefighters rushed to stop the fire spreading.
Emergency services rushed to Stewart St in Brunswick East about 4am on Monday after receiving multiple Triple 0 calls.
More than 30 firefighters arrived in under five minutes to find a single storey weatherboard house engulfed in flames.
Firefighters donned breathing apparatus before entering the house and fought hard to stop the blaze the spreading to neighbouring properties.
A Fire Rescue Victoria spokesman said no one was inside the house.
The fire was under control within 30 minutes and the blaze is being investigated by specialists to determine the cause.
