Elevation Secondary College will open its doors to 140 students for the first time next week.
Principal Colin Burke said the school would welcome Year 7 classes at the Craigieburn South school and he was looking forward to the challenge.
“Everything you can think of, you have to start from scratch. Right down to the tea cups for the teachers,” he said
“Getting to lay out the vision from the start has been really exciting.”
The first stage of the school, including specialist chemistry rooms, an administration building, classrooms and outdoor courts, was opened at the start of the year.
