East Coburg Tennis Club is raising money for stillbirth again with its longest rally event.
Two years ago the club raised nearly $10,000 for Sands Australia, a volunteer-based organisation which helps parents following the death of a baby.
Tennis coach, Lynton Joseph, created the event after his son Jonty passed away at birth in 2016.
Following the traumatic ordeal Mr Joseph, and his wife Cara, received support from Sands Australia so they decided to honour Jonty with The Longest Rally.
The event includes free lessons, food, games and activities.
“The Longest Rally is an opportunity to hop on the tennis court, try and break some
records, receive free lessons, have a bite to eat, enjoy a drink and soak up local
entertainment,” Mr Joseph said.
It will include lucky door prizes, silent auctions and a children’s craft
activity area.

Teams can also register to compete against others on the day.
Mr Joseph said he was hopeful they could break their attendance record from two years ago of 700 people.
The longest rally is on October 27 at the East Coburg Tennis Club from 1pm to 4pm.
