A motorcyclist has been killed after an accident on the Hume Highway causing traffic chaos in Craigieburn.
Police say a motorcyclist, believed to be in his 30s, collided into the back of the car heading south at the intersection of Rushwood Drive at 8.05am on Thursday.
Emergency services are on scene and have blocked off the road, where a white sheet has been stuck on road barrier to prevent motorist on the other side of the freeway from seeing the body.
A badly damaged motorbike is on the grass of the median strip next to the body.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations are continuing.
