Anti-gang cops have implicated and charged a jailed Comanchero kingpin with a violent conspiracy.
Domenic Luzza, who is close to being eligible for early release, fronted Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday charged with conspiracy to commit reckless conduct endangering life.
Luzza, 31, was charged alongside alleged co-conspirators Ibrahim ‘Ibby’ El-Sayah, 27, Aladin El-Sayed, 26, and Adam Omar.
Luzza and the others, who were all charged earlier this month, allegedly conspired to commit violence at Coburg on August 30, 2019.
It’s also alleged the crew stole a Holden Captiva according to charges laid by the Echo Taskforce.
The court heard El-Sayah is “severely injured” and recovering after he was shot last month.
The prosecution attempted to have Luzza remanded on his new charges but Magistrate Olivia Trumble refused the application because Luzza’s legal counsel was not present.
Luzza told the court he was serving a jail term and claimed he had reached his minimum non-parole period.
Luzza, formerly of Caroline Springs, El-Sayah, El-Sayed, both of Pascoe Vale, and Omar will face court at a later date.
