Moreland Council will decide this week whether to approve plans for a 10-screen cinema complex in Brunswick.
But locals say on-site parking is vastly inadequate.
The proposal, which includes a rooftop screen and cafe, at 1-5 Weston St will be considered by Moreland Council on Wednesday.

More than 30 objections have been lodged against the cinema, including one from nearby Barkly Square shopping centre administration, due to concerns about moviegoers parking in streets and the centre carpark.
The cinema, which would be run by the Tamir family which owns Lido and Cameo cinemas, was first touted in 2017 and named Sparkly Bear Cinemas.
Spokesman Eddie Tamir said at the time the family was excited to recycle the old warehouse.
A resident of nearby Dods St, Michael Petit, said locals were worried streets would be clogged if additional parking wasn’t installed. “This coming attraction needs a good deal of editing,” he said.
According to the Moreland Planning Scheme, a site of that size would normally require 342 carparks.
