ROCK and roll legend Bruce Springsteen will return to Hanging Rock next February.

The performer, known as the Boss, returns to the venue following his two wildly successful Easter shows in 2013 and a subsequent tour to Australia in 2014.

Springsteen and the iconic E-Street Band will play Hanging Rock on Saturday, February 11, with Australian band Jet and Diesel to feature before the Boss hits the stage.

The news today was welcomed by Macedon Ranges mayor Graham Hackett.

“Bruce’s concerts last time were incredible — he definitely provided value for money, performing on stage without a break for nearly three hours,” Cr Hackett said.

The council valued the economic benefit of those concerts at $9.7 million. More than 34,000 people attended the two concerts.

Pre-sale tickets for Frontier members open 1pm Tuesday, September 20, and runs until the next day.
