An Irish pub in the heart of Melbourne’s outer west is seeking new management as the current tenant departs after more than a decade.
Occupying a prominent corner position in the thick of Bacchus Marsh’s commercial area, Flanagans Border Inn could be the perfect adventure for those looking to enter the publican scene.
Located about 65 km from Melbourne’s CBD, Flanagans is an Irish-themed venue which features a bar, lounge, bistro, as well as a game and live entertainment area.
The current asking price for the license is $650,000, which includes the furniture, plants and equipment.
The first floor contains a two-bedroom manager’s apartment and a number of public accommodation rooms currently under renovation.
According to property website Commercial Real Estate, the venue’s weekly trade has averaged $40,000 in recent times, but that figure is expected to increase substantially when upgrades to the accommodation area are complete.
The current lease at the 1000 sqm property runs until 2037.
The departing tenants have operated the pub for about 12 years.
