My greatest achievement is being selected to represent Victoria in calisthenics as a nine-year-old and winning the national championships.

I love my sport as it’s not just about competitions and performing, but the journey and making new friends.

Describe the toughest challenge you’ve faced in your sport:

Although it was a lifelong dream to represent the state, definitely the toughest challenge was remembering and practising all my routines for both the Victorian team and my Avonde team.

What is your ultimate sporting goal?

I hope I am lucky enough to represent Victoria again at the state level when I am older.

‘I couldn’t have done all of this without support from …’

Definitely my Mum. She does everything for me from doing my hair, make-up and making my costumes. Most importantly driving me around to training and competitions.

My coaches, who have been amazing teaching me my performances and continuing to encourage me to be my best.

My calisthenics friends who continue to encourage me and challenge me. We have so much fun together at training and competitions.

Do you have anything else you’d like to add?

I’m very thankful for my calisthenics srate team experience, as it has not only improved and developed my calisthenics ability, but it has taught me to be more confident and resilient. Sometimes when you make mistakes in your routines you feel sad, but it’s about continuing to strive to do your best and accept that you can’t always win, but as long as you are having fun and trying your best.
