THE death of a woman at Westfield Airport West yesterday is believed to have been medically related, police say.

Victoria Police spokeswoman Belinda Batty said police would prepare a report for the coroner after the 71-year-old woman died at the centre yesterday morning.

The death was not being treated as suspicious and appeared to be medically related, she said.

Unconfirmed Facebook comments have said the incident occurred in one of the shopping centre food courts.

Airport West Westfield have been approached for comment.

Westfield management have arranged a counselling service for anyone affected by the incident via 8311 2836.
