Security footage released of Doncaster clothing theft suspect

Police have released security footage of a man they wish to speak to in connection to a spate of thefts of high-end clothing across Melbourne.

The theft of designer clothes from shopping centres across Melbourne, including Doncaster, could be the work of one man during a 12-month period.

Detectives have released CCTV footage that shows a man removing clothing from a display rack.

Police believe the man entered the Doncaster store about 4pm on February 11. It is alleged he put the clothes into a bag while a staff member was assisting customers, before fleeing.

It is believed the man might be linked to multiple other thefts over the past year, both from the same Doncaster store and from a shopping centre in Lonsdale St.

The man is believed to be aged in his 20s, and is described as Asian and about 182cm with a slim build, short dark hair and glasses.
