EASTER EGG HUNT EXTRAVAGANZA
Where: Mentone Lifesaving Club, Beach Rd, Mentone
When: Thursday, April 18, 3.30pm
Cost: Gold coin donation to the Good Friday Appeal
Scour the sand at Mentone for your fill of chocolate goodies at this annual event. The Easter bunny will be making an appearance and there will be lots of activities such as face painting, a colouring competition, sausage sizzle, ice cream cart, animal farm and more. There are separate Easter egg hunts for different age groups. Reserve your place online.
MELBOURNE’S BIGGEST EASTER EGG HUNT
Where: Cranbourne Racecourse, Grant St, Cranbourne
When: April 19-22, from 10am
Cost: Show entry — adults $5, kids free; Easter egg hunt entry $10
Head down to the Melbourne Easter Show in Cranbourne to help the Easter bunny find some of his missing eggs. Once your child has collected the number of Easter eggs for their age group, within the allocated time period, they will receive a bag of pre-packaged eggs. There are age group sessions for kids aged 3-12 years. Come for the Easter egg hunt, stay for the food, festivities, amusement rides and showbags!
THE BIG GOOSE EASTER SCRAMBLE

The Easter bunny returns to The Big Goose petting farm this weekend. The aim of the game? To scramble and collect as many eggs as you can before the Easter bunny rings his bell. Every child will take home a bag of Easter eggs after they’ve taken their haul to the counting station. There’s also a range of other fun activities such as egg-and-spoon races, sack races, giant foot darts and more.
ZOO MEMBERS EGG HUNT TRAIL
Where: Melbourne Zoo
When: April 19-22, 9am-5pm
Cost: FREE event for Zoos Victoria members only
Here’s an egg hunt with a Jurassic twist. Hunters won’t be searching for chocolate or decorated eggs but dinosaur ones, in nests throughout the zoo. At each nest there will be puzzles to solve. Once you’ve completed your quest, pop in to the Zoo Shop for a chance to win a dinosaur prize.
FORCE FITNESS STUDIO EASTER EGG HUNT
Where: Force Fitness Studio, 4 The Concord, Bundoora
When: Friday, April 19, 10am-noon
Cost: $15 per child
Each year this Bundoora gym hosts an Easter egg hunt to raise money for the Good Friday Appeal. There will be gift bags, activities and games on the day. The event is limited to 30 kids so bookings are essential. The $15 entry includes entry to the Easter egg hunt and a gift bag of goodies.
EASTER EGG HUNT ZONE
Where: The District, 440 Docklands Drive, Docklands
When: April 20-21, noon-5pm
Cost: FREE
Hop into The District at Docklands for a chocolate hunt and a chance to spot the Easter bunny. Collect your card from the Easter Egg Hunt Zone and be on your way around the shopping centre to search for eggs. You can also meet and take a selfie with the Easter bunny, who will be handing out lots of chocolate treats.
EASTER AT CLARENDON
Where: Clarendon Centre, 261 Clarendon St, South Melbourne

Join in the fun at The Great South Melbourne Easter egg Hunt. Children can take part in colouring activities, meet the Easter bunny, get their face painted and take part in an Easter egg hunt throughout the centre. Little hunters must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. Keep the kids entertained with a visit from Lah-Lah and Buzz from Lah-Lah’s Big Live Band. EASTER FUN DAY

Settle in for some old-fashioned fun at Rippon Lea Estate’s Easter Fun Day. Children aged 2-12 can join in the egg hunt, which will involve finding the Easter bunny’s team guarding giant Easter eggs. Find all the giant eggs and you’ll be rewarded with chocolate ones. There will also be amusement rides, jumping castles and Rippon Lea Mansion will be open for exploring so bring a picnic and enjoy Easter Sunday in Elsternwick.

GUMBO’S GIANT EASTER EGG HUNT
Where: Gumbaya World, 2705 Princes Hwy, Tynong
When: Sunday, April 21
Cost: $43-$49 (entry to Gumbaya World)
On Easter Sunday, families can enjoy the inaugural Gumbo’s Giant Easter Egg Hunt, thanks to the Ministry of Chocolate. Kids under 16 can join the hunt with thousands of eggs to collect. As an added surprise, there will also be 12 special eggs to find, with one containing a winning ticket for a very special giant chocolate treat. The hunt is included in entry to the park, but you must pre-register for the event online.
EASTER FUN
Where: Blue Lotus Water Garden, 2628 Warburton Hwy, Yarra Junction

Meet the Easter bunny and the Fairy Queen at the Yarra Valley’s Blue Lotus Water Garden. Decorated eggs will be hidden in the fairy garden for kids to find, then swap for some chocolate eggs.
