WERRIBEE Plaza has cast fashion blogger Jess Dempsey as its first fashion ambassador.
Ms Dempsey will be the face of the shopping centre, which is undergoing a $370 million development.
The 31-year-old grew up in Hoppers Crossing and has gained 14,000 followers on her Instagram account whatwouldkarldo since she started her blog in 2010.
Ms Dempsey started her fashion career at the Werribee Plaza, working at Jay Jays while studying visual merchandising at university.
She went on to work for Hugo Boss and styling celebrities for the Logies.
The mother-of-two said she was excited to be the face of the shopping centre.
“It’s a part of me. It was my first step into fashion, from shopping with friends but also I worked at Jay Jays for three years,” she said.
Ms Dempsey uses her blog What Would Karl (Lagerfeld) Do and Instagram account to share her style with people, including her maternity fashion during her two pregnancies.
Ms Dempsey’s first event for the centre will be hosting a VIP fashion parade during Spring Fashion Week.
