CHOCOLATE lovers could win up to a year’s supply of sweets ahead of the opening of a luxury Belgian brand’s newest Melbourne store at Westfield Doncaster.

Godiva is preparing to open its second store in Australia after opening one in Melbourne CBD, with plans for a Chadstone store and online shop.

It’s the latest coup for Westfield Doncaster, with a number of high-end brands — including Sephora and Ray Ban — jumping on board in recent weeks.

In the lead up to the Doncaster store opening, the hoarding concealing the new shop invites visitors to the centre to enter a competition to become a VIP and win a year’s supply of chocolate.

To enter, visitors need to snap and share a selfie framed by the Godiva chocolate photo booth featured on the hoarding, and tag @godivaaustralia #godivadoncaster.

For both new store openings, fans and chocoholics alike will be treated to free soft ice cream with every in-store purchase.

They’ll be available all day Saturday and Sunday on the respective opening weekends, which will be confirmed in early October.

Customers ordering from select Melbourne suburbs will also benefit from a four-hour metro delivery service for any retail product, including Godiva’s signature hand-dipped strawberries.

“After the successful launch of Godiva in Emporium, we’re delighted to be launching our new retail website godiva.com.au, and will also be opening two new Victorian stores in Doncaster and Chadstone,” Godiva Australia general manager Shane Hills said.

Less than a year after the launch of its first Australian store in Emporium Melbourne, Godiva has served more than 50,000 customers, with Victorian fan favourites quickly established as its Chocolixir, hot chocolate, truffles and soft ice cream.
