Video: Morning commuters on Deakin Ave stunned as car turns fireball in morning incident

A car has erupted in flames on Deakin Ave on Tuesday morning, sending thick smoke into the air and drawing crowds as firefighters brought the fire under control. See the video.

Despite the chilly start to the day, it was a warm morning for at least one resident of Mildura with their car fully ablaze on Deakin Ave.

Fire Rescue Victoria were called to the scene after numerous triple-0 calls from passers-by who reported a car on fire at 10.15am this morning.

FRV attended the scene and extinguished the blaze, the whole ordeal lasting just four minutes.

“Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find a car engulfed in flames. Crews worked quickly to contain the fire before making the scene safe. No occupants were affected by the fire,” an FRV spokesman told the Herald Sun.
