Swan Hill man Bob Moore accused of biting, punching woman in brutal late night attack

A man is accused of biting, scratching and punching a woman after she tried to fight back in a terrifying alleged late night attack.

A Swan Hill man is accused of forcing his way into a woman’s home before allegedly punching and biting her in a violent late-night attack, court documents have revealed.

Bob Moore, 26, was due to face the County Court sitting in Mildura to plead to multiple charges including common assault and aggravated burglary with a person present.

Mr Moore’s hearing was adjourned before it started on Monday morning in order for a neuro-psychological assessment to be completed.

Court documents outlined Mr Moore’s alleged offending in May of 2024.

On the night of May 9 at about 8pm the female occupant of the house allegedly heard a loud bang at her front door and someone screaming her name.

The alleged victim told police she heard Mr Moore climbing over the fence, before he allegedly approached the bedroom window, removing the fly screen and getting into the house through the same window and onto the woman’s bed.

Once inside, it is alleged Mr Moore punched and scratched the woman’s face and mouth before trying to drag her to the ground.

Mr Moore is accused of biting the woman’s hand during the scuffle as well when she tried to fight back.

Eventually the woman was able to escape and Mr Moore was arrested several days later.

When he was arrested, police allege Mr Moore gave a no comment interview. He was remanded and has served more than a year of pre-sentence detention.

The matter was adjourned to a later date and is expected to be rescheduled when Mr Moore’s psychological assessment has been completed.
