Resident treated for smoke inhalation after Swan Hill house fire on Thurla Street

A resident has been treated for smoke inhalation after a fire engulfed a home in the state’s northwest.

A resident has been treated for smoke inhalation after fire engulfed a home in Swan Hill.

The CFA was called to the fire in Thurla St at 4.24am Wednesday and found the single-storey weatherboard house well alight.

The CFA said Ambulance Victoria was called to the scene due to one occupant suffering smoke inhalation.

The fire was brought under control just after 5am and declared safe just before 7am.

The cause of the fire will be investigated on Wednesday.

The CFA had nine vehicles on scene, with Victoria Police and SES crews also in attendance.
