A Nyah has been flown to Melbourne in a critical condition after he was struck be a truck just outside Robinvale, with police calling for witnesses.

A man has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition after he was hit by a truck in the state’s north this morning.

A 45-year-old Nyah man was hit about 9.15am on Friday near the intersection of Robinvale-Sea Lake and New Britain roads.

Police and ambulance service attended the scene but were unable to stabilise the man, who was flown to The Alfred with life-threatening injuries.

The male driver of the truck stopped at the scene and has spoken to police.
