Mildura’s old shire offices are up for sale

A 100-year-old building in the heart of Mildura has hit the market with a sale price of $1.5M.

Built in 1922, the 551sqm property originally housed the then shire office.

The building, located at 70 Deakin Ave, was taken over by a legal practice when the shire moved to Irymple.

It has remained a legal office for the last 35 years, until the practice moved to a bigger property.

The real estate agent selling the property, Tony Roccisano from Professionals, said it would be an ideal space for a professional looking to set up a business.

The historic offices at 70 Deakin avenue Mildura are for sale.

“It used be a legal office but it would also suit for something like an accountant or some other kind of professional service,” he said.

Mr Roccisano also pointed out that due to the property’s location in the heart of the city and the design of the building that it could also be refurbished into something like a boutique hotel.

“Because location is so central in between 9th and 8th street you could also make it into something like a boutique hotel,” he said.

“Aesthetically it fits as well, it’s still got original facade that's beautiful and two floors.”
