Sunshine, big crowds and a thrilling finish: the 2025 Mildura Cup had it all.

Perfect winter weather drew racegoers from all over the country to Mildura Racecourse on Friday for the 101st running of the Cup, with punters packing the lawns, marquees and grandstands from early in the day.

Fashions on the field were as competitive as ever, with local style on full display and plenty of fashionistas looking to take home the prizes.

On the track, it was Harmonious Senora who stole the show, storming home to claim the coveted Mildura Cup, holding off a strong challenge from Hard to Cross, with favourite Dubai Poet flashing home for third.

Many punters told the Herald Sun that this year’s crowd was one of the biggest in recent memory.
