A warrant has been issued for disgraced former football agent Ricky Nixon’s arrest after he ditched his court appearance.
Nixon, who is on bail for this matter, represented himself in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday morning, and is accused of threatening a police officer over social media.
His matter was stood down in order for the 62-year-old to have a summary case conference with prosecutors about his case.
Two hours later when Nixon’s matter was recalled he did not reappear before the court.
The court heard Nixon had left the courthouse and did not talk to prosecutors.
Magistrate Andrew Halse issued a warrant for Nixon’s arrest after he did not return to court.
Nixon was charged with intimidating a law enforcement officer, make threat to kill and using a carriage service to menace in April.
Police allege the threats were made in a series of Facebook posts.
Nixon, who calls himself “Chicken”, was responding to a user online who asked if he was “alright”.
“No on a mission to leave as many (sic) cop c---s dead,” Nixon allegedly wrote.
An alleged rant online about police officers then followed shortly after.
