The best hotels in the state have been unveiled.

Victoria’s top accommodation providers and venue staff were honoured at the 2024 Victorian Accommodation Awards for Excellence for their outstanding contributions to the state’s hotel industry on Thursday night.

Victorian Accommodation Awards national chair David Mansfield said the night’s winners set new benchmarks in service and innovation by “always striving to deliver a great experience for guests”.

“In the last year alone, Victoria has welcomed nearly 90 million visitors and delivered over 143 million nights of accommodation,” he said.

“It’s numbers like these that show how the efforts of our industry, and the extraordinary individuals who work within it, are so vital to this state.”

Robert Dawson, a seasoned hospitality professional with more than 50 years of experience in the hotel industry, took home the prestigious award for Outstanding Contribution to the Industry.

Nicole Pasqual from Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park won Executive of the Year, while Punit Fernandes from PARKROYAL Monash Melbourne was named Chef of the Year.

Kylie Hayles, of Wyndham Resort Torquay, took home Revenue Management Employee of The Year.

Regional Victorian hotels also shone at the awards, with Novotel Geelong scoring the

Deluxe and Regional Accommodation Hotel of The Year title, while Yarra Glen’s Balgownie Estate and Wyndham Phillip Island’s Ramada Resort were both named Resort Style Accommodation of the Year.
