Victorian LGAs with the most active Covid cases

A postcode in Melbourne’s west is home to the highest number of active cases in the state.
Postcode 3029, which includes Tarneit, Hoppers Crossing and Truganina, has 1369 active cases.
Postcode 3064, which includes Craigieburn, Roxburgh Park and Mickleham, is home to the second highest total of cases, with 1286.
Victoria recorded 12,755 new cases of Covid on Friday, including 7410 people who tested positive on a rapid antigen test and 5345 who returned a positive result on a PCR test.
The Health Department was also notified of 39 deaths of people aged in their 30s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s.
According to the Department, all of the reported deaths happened in the past week, with the majority occurring on the past three days.
It brings the total number of deaths in Victoria since the pandemic began to 1939.
Wyndham recorded the highest number of new cases on Friday (453), followed by the City of Whittlesea (388), Hume (314) and Casey (285).
