It's the CBD party spot where fun times and a bit of cheekiness never goes astray.
Tramp Bar, nestled next to a strip club, a 7-Eleven and a kebab shop on the Swanston St end of King St, has operated for 15 years and is a must-visit on the clubbing scene.
According to its Facebook page, the club was created by “a pair of trash-bags who like to get loose with friends”.
“We drink hard, exaggerate the truth, lie to girls, and generally get up to all sorts of mischief that your mother wouldn’t like,” they wrote.
The club is often open into the wee hours on Sunday mornings and usually plays techno and other trendy music genres.
Indeed, for Melbourne’s newbie clubbers, it’s been almost a rite of passage to collect your “Tramp stamp” and enjoy a big night out.
The club has obviously had the decks switched off for many months due to the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown restrictions.
But it is set to return with ‘seated edition’ sessions including drink service in its booths on Friday, November 5.
Until then, see if you can spot yourself in this gallery of pictures from the club’s big events over the years, which we’ve compiled with permission from the owners.
