Spotlight: Melbourne stores opening after COVID-19 restriction changes
The “spotlight” may have been on bars and retail across metro Melbourne opening at the stroke of midnight, but craft giant Spotlight is getting in on the act too. See what stores will be open.

Spotlight will open Melbourne stores from midnight tonight in celebration of Melbourne’s COVID-19 restrictions easing.
Across the metro area Spotlight will open 12 stores for an all night shopping experience from 11.59pm tonight through to 8pm tomorrow.
Spotlight chief executive Quentin Gracanin said customers were excited to come back in and enjoy a quiet late night shopping trip.
”We want to say a very big thank you to all Melburnians for staying the course and helping retail reopen as safely and as quickly as possible,” he said.
“We are thrilled to welcome back our new and loyal Spotlight customers who are looking to
snap up a bargain and enjoy the space and the peace and quiet of a very late night shopping
experience tonight.”
Crafty bargains are planned for the 12 stores opening tonight and customers told to follow social distancing guidelines.

All other metro stores including South Morang, Carnegie, The Glen, South Melbourne and Roxburgh Park will open from 9am tomorrow.
Across Melbourne CBD some bars will be opening tonight to toast the end of Melbourne’s strict COVID-19 lockdown.
Each venue will be subject to a maximum of 20 seated people indoors and 50 people outdoors with bookings essential.
Bars including Nick and Nora’s on Colins St and Loch & Key on Franklin St will open tonight.
