Kerron Wallace fronts court over depraved child abuse material

A vile sex offender tried to claim he wanted to buy a child to save them for the “sex scene” after he was busted exchanging gift cards for sickening child abuse material.

Melbourne man Kerron Wallace solicited sickening child abuse material from unknown online users in exchange for gift cards.

A Melbourne man who swapped child abuse material online for gift cards claims he viewed the sickening images in order to “save” children from exploitation and even tried to buy a youngster to rescue them from the “sex scene”.

Kerron Wallace was busted in December 2022 with 284 videos and 18 photos of child abuse material that involved children between the ages of three and 12.

Wallace was sentenced in the County Court to a minimum of four years on charges of possessing and transmitting child abuse material.

“You maintained you were not looking at child pornography but rather wanted to save the children. You reiterated that you were trying to purchase a child to get them out of the child sex scene,” Judge Robyn Harper said.

She said the contents of Wallace’s requests and conversations to online users were graphic and disturbing, including a number of comments about getting the children pregnant.

The AFP began investigating him after receiving a report from the US-based National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children in September 2022.

During an online chat, Judge Harper said Wallace discussed the 14-year-old daughter of the person he spoke to and arranged a price at which he’d get her pregnant.

He sent 25 gift cards worth $620 and received 64 videos and 14 photos of child abuse material from that person.

Wallace engaged with a telephone user, Goddess, who sent him two videos after he indicated his preference for children between the ages of four and seven.

He offered $5000 worth of gift cards to Goddess to engage in sex and impregnate three children aged three, five and 11

Wallace ultimately sent 33 gift cards valued at $1650 to Goddess as well as eight videos and five images.

He sent three gift cards in exchange for seven videos of a girl following a telephone conversation and despite her telling him she was just 14.

“The number of files you possessed was substantial and the nature of the images was abhorrent and the nature of the conversations depraved involving children as young as three years,” Judge Harper said.

“Children were being violated in the most unthinkable ways.”

Wallace was sentenced to a total of six years and three months’ imprisonment.
