An Instagram glamour girl who attacked police after a boozy night at Crown Casino has defied an order to return to Melbourne for punishment because she is an outpatient at a New Zealand hospital.

Hannah Pierson, 30, fronted the Online Magistrates’ Court on Friday after pleading guilty to six charges including assaulting and resisting an emergency services worker.

Pierson lashed out after security booted her from exclusive Crown nightclub Club 23 just after 2am on May 13, 2018.

Security asked Pierson to leave the celebrity haunt after the party girl was spotted “highly intoxicated” on the dancefloor.

Pierson was escorted from the venue by security after she ignored their requests to leave.

Pierson attacked security and spat on a guard as she was led out of the venue.

Security then attempted to restrain Pierson with “flexible” handcuffs to protect staff and the public but she kicked a bouncer twice.

Multiple police, who were called in to subdue Pierson, discovered the party girl passed out in a corridor near Club 23.

Pierson woke up and became “verbally aggressive” and abused police after she was taken to a private area to be assessed by a paramedic.

The glamour girl’s anger spiked after Crown security issued her a “banning” notice.

Pierson yelled at a police officer to “do your job properly”.

She then pushed an officer which caused the victim to stumble into a window sill.

Pierson continued her aggression towards police even after she was arrested.

Pierson screamed and struggled and kicked in a wall at the casino which fell onto police.

Police eventually calmed her down and took her to the casino taxi rank where she was released into the “custody” of her friends.

The New Zealand citizen, who was living and working in Melbourne at the time of the incident, appeared via videolink from her home country.

Pierson was supported in court by her father Terrence Pierson who gave evidence on behalf of his daughter.

Mr Pierson said his daughter suffers with a mental health issues and the “structures” to appropriately manage those issues weren’t in place when she migrated to Australia.

Mr Pierson said his daughter suffers “mood swings” and “always worked” but rarely held down a job for very long.

Pierson, who recently moved back to New Zealand to seek treatment, hopes to gain work as a beautician, the court was told.

Scott Kaiser, for Pierson, asked for his client to be spared conviction after it was submitted a conviction would place Pierson’s career dreams in peril.

Police prosecutor Acting Sergeant James Carfi said assaulting police was serious and deserving of a conviction.

“(It was a) volatile and violent situation,” he said.

“It was a volatile and unprovoked response.”

Magistrate Hayley Bate deferred sentencing Pierson in February so the defence could obtain more psych material.

A report tendered at today’s hearing says Pierson was “easily distracted as an adolescent” and told she could have a “non-verbal learning disorder”.

The court heard Pierson was previously diagnosed with PTSD and “oppositional defiance disorder” due to her childhood.

Magistrate Bate said she was “not satisfied” Pierson met the psych threshold to escape a conviction.

“There isn’t any plausible reduction of moral culpability as yet,” Magistrate Bate said.

“(The offending) was an alcohol-fuelled crime.”

Magistrate Bate ordered Pierson, who is back in New Zealand living with family, “return to the jurisdiction” to serve her punishment.

The matter was stood down to find an appropriate date.

However, Magistrate Bate was less than impressed when Pierson’s lawyer declared the next date unsuitable as his client would be an outpatient in New Zealand for the next 18 months.

“Your client is on bail and a condition of that bail is she return to the jurisdiction,” Magistrate Bate said.

Pierson was given one last opportunity to provide a forensic psych report and avoid returning to Melbourne to face the music.

Magistrate Bate said the “violent altercation which went on for some time” was worthy of at least a community correction order – which must be served in Victoria.

“All sentencing options will be open,” Magistrate Bate said.

Pierson, who also pleaded guilty to multiple assault charges and public drunkenness, will face court again in August.
