A Fitzroy sex shop which specialises in bondage and fetish toys was caught with dodgy erection medication including illegal Viagra.
Lucrezia & De Sade Pty Ltd, represented by Wayne Nicol, pleaded guilty in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday to multiple possess schedule 4 poison offences.
The Brunswick St sex fetish merchant was caught with Viagra and other erection remedies including Tadalafil better known as Cialis and Kamagra Oral Jelly without authorisation.
Lucrezia & De Sade Pty Ltd was also caught with premature ejaculation cure dapoxetine.
Police raided the business and seized 29 packets of jelly, tablets and 39 boxes of Cialis pills on December 2013.
Mr Nichol, who was arrested, told police he didn't realise he required prescriptions for his dodgy erection medication haul.
The bondage store which sells sex toys, whips, chains and Gimp outfits had more serious charges including selling and supplying a psychoactive substance Cumyl-Pegaclone withdrawn.
Cumyl-Pegaclone is a designer drug better known as synthetic cannabis.
Abbotsford business Asterix Pty Ltd, which earlier pleaded guilty to possess a schedule 4 poison, also had supply, produce and sell Cumyl-Pegaclone charges withdrawn.
Asterix, which the court heard distributed to Lucrezia & De Sade, was also caught with Viagra and Kamagra Oral Jelly on December 13, 2019.
The court heard Asterix director John Thomas told police he bought the dodgy haul from a supplier in southeast Asia.
Asterix's defence lawyer told the court you can get erectile dysfunction medication without a prescription in southeast Asia.
However, the magistrate replied such medication were "dangerous" without a prescription and could cause heart attacks if used incorrectly.
Lucrezia & De Sade Pty Ltd was handed a six-month good behaviour bond without conviction.
Asterix was fined $500 without conviction.
