Dr Ian Maxwell Deitch in court over indecent assault claim

A female patient has testified against a Melbourne chiropractor accused of putting his hand into her underwear during consultation.

Melbourne chiropractor Ian Deitch has been ordered to face trial in County Court on another charge of indecent assault.

A Melbourne chiropractor defending allegations of raping and sexually assaulting female patients has been ordered to face trial on another charge of indecent assault.

Dr Ian Maxwell Deitch appeared for a committal hearing in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday when two witnesses, including a female patient, gave evidence against him.

The former director of Chirolife in Rosanna allegedly put his hand into a female patient’s underwear and made small circular motions over the pubic area in May 2011.

At the end of the committal, the court ordered Dr Deitch to stand trial in the County Court on one charge of indecent assault.

That charge could potentially join up with nine charges of sexual assault including three of rape Dr Deitch was already facing before the County Court.

He was committed to County Court on those charges in April. Dr Deitch will appear in County Court in February for a pre-trial hearing.

Dr Deitch allegedly sexually assaulted the women between 2013 and 2021, including digitally penetrating and touching their vaginas without consent.

Charge sheets state the chiropractor also allegedly touched a woman’s breast and nipples, rubbed his clothed erect penis on her head and kissed her without consent.

Dr Deitch owns and operates Markwell Nutrition which sells magnesium supplement Colozone Plus.
