Aguer Madut pleads guilty to raping intoxicated woman

A couple of pineapple Cruisers with friends ended in a woman being raped twice by a Melbourne man who assaulted her while she was barely able to stand.

A Melbourne man took advantage of an intoxicated woman after a night out in the city, raping her twice before leaving her passed out on a chair.

Aguer Santino Madut, 27, on Friday appeared before the County Court via a video link from prison and pleaded guilty to two charges of rape after a night out in April 2021.

He will be sentenced on August 20.

Court documents revealed the victim consumed pineapple cruisers before she and two friends went to a hotel in central Melbourne for more drinks about 10pm on April 24, 2021.

From the hotel, they moved to a bar but were asked to leave because of the victim’s intoxicated state.

Madut and two friends had been drinking in the city during the day and they and the three women, including the victim, went to a house in Melbourne and continued drinking.

According to the court documents the victim went into a room and sat on a chair as she was unable to move or talk and felt weak from intoxication.

Madut entered the room and raped her before she passed out.

After awaking, the woman tried to recollect herself and used her body weight to slide down the chair and managed to pull herself up.

She then walked out of the room and told a friend that she had been sexually assaulted.

Madut replied “no comment and not true” when interviewed by police after the incident.
