How did you get involved in this sport?

I started playing softball at age 11 and wanted to do something during the winter to improve my skills so I was referred to Watsonia Baseball Club.

My biggest success was representing two different sports at a state level in the under-15 girls softball team and the youth women’s baseball team in 2019.

During 2018/19 I trained between 4-5 times a week, concentrating on both skills and fitness with some gym work. These training session were done during our typical hot summers.

Making errors during the national youth women’s tournament playoff for the bronze medal and then picking myself up when asked to pitch and assisted our team in winning the game.

I enjoy playing a team sport where there are lots of opportunities for both girls and boys.

I love travelling to different states that I would not normally get the chance to.

What is your ultimate sporting goal?

To one day represent Australia in baseball.

‘I couldn’t have done this without …’

I could not have done this without my parents, who drive me to every game and training session across the country, supporting me at every tournament.

Also, all of my coaches and mentors across both softball and baseball, who have helped me along the way.
