HIS mum says taekwondo is what he was born to do and 14-year-old Cameron Moyes isn’t giving her any reason to think otherwise.
After beginning his training at just four years old, Cameron is now a second dan black belt and competes in both sparring and poomsae.
A Year 9 student, Cameron travels across Melbourne to train, regularly sparring at Hall’s Taekwondo in Preston, and said his favourite win was a gold medal at the New Zealand Open last year.
Cameron said he loved the challenge and variety the sport gave him and he had started teaching children younger than him the basics of the sport.
“I love the variety of it, you can teach and compete and train,” Cameron said.
He is aiming to qualify for the world championships in November.
