Ferntree Gully’s Harrison Chapman celebrates athletics glory

THERE is no slowing down this Ferntree Gully boy.

Harrison Chapman, 9, a member of the Knox Little Athletics Club, is celebrating a successful year on the track.

Dad Nathan said Harrison won four gold medals at the Eastern Regional Championships in February in the 70m, 100m, 200m and long jump.

At the Victorian Little Athletics Championships in March, he won silver in the 200m and bronze in the 70m and long jump. Mr Chapman said Harrison had no plans to slow down anytime soon. “I think he just wants to run faster; he wants to see how fast he can go.”

The Karoo Primary School student also loves cheering on his twin younger brothers, also budding athletes at Knox Little Athletics.

Harrison is a Knox Leader junior sports star nominee.
