KAI Lilienthal brings plenty to the table.
The Oxford Falls Grammar student, who is the latest Manly Daily Local Sports Star nominee, has plenty of feathers in his cap.
If he isn’t setting records in the pool, he is scoring tries on the rugby field or catalogue modelling part-time.
At the recent NSW PSSA Swimming Championships, he finished second in the under-12 boys backstroke and butterfly finals.
In doing so, he earnt himself a trip to Adelaide in December to compete in the Pacific School Games.
“I’ve always liked swimming,’’ Kai said.
“I like to keep fit, so I train four times a week, sometimes before and after school.”
With Kai starting high school next year, he has left a swimming legacy for primary schools students to aspire towards.
The 11-year-old has won five consecutive school age championships, competed in five zone age championships and five CSSA state age championships.
Kai is a valued member of North Curl Curl Surf Life Saving Club, recently snaring a handful of medals at the state titles.
He also plays rugby with the Warringah Rats, as an outside centre.
