A COBURG trampolinist is bouncing all the way to the national championships.

William Archibald only started competing this year after joining the Essendon Keilor Gymnastics Academy in 2014.

The ten-year-old has already jumped through the ranks to represent Victoria in the trampoline and double mini trampoline at the Australian Gymnastics Championships held in Melbourne from May 21.

While he may be the youngest in the squad, William is a popular and important part of the team according to academy director Christy Hemphill.

“He applauds every routine and is so genuinely happy when he sees another athlete master a new skill,” she said.

William is a 2018 Leader Local Sports Star nominee.
