How did you get involved in gymnastics?

I got involved when I started ‘Fitness for Fun’ — a non-competitive program which I enjoyed. After about a year I decided I wanted a tougher coach and wanted to compete so I started at my first competitive gym in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) and have progressed to where I am today. I moved from WAG to Acrobatic Gymnastics in October, 2017 and have been doing acrobatic gymnastics for almost two years now.

What has been your biggest success?

Competing at an international competition at the Vegas International Acro Cup and coming second. This was my first time travelling to America and competing internationally and it was an absolutely amazing experience. I was really proud of the outcome of coming second because it was really daunting to compete in such a big competition and I was ecstatic when all my months of hard work paid off.

Describe the toughest challenge you’ve faced in your sport.

When I was injured for about three months this year I had to miss out on two major competitions. I found it really difficult to be constantly on the sidelines and being unable to do the things I love. I had to be very patient with my recovery.
