WFNL: All the signings of the 2024-25 off-season

The WFNL off-season has only just started but some clubs have already well and truly started making moves for 2025. Keep up to date with every signing in our signing tracker.

The WFNL off-season is well underway.

Clubs are already making big moves ahead of next season with some guns joining the competition.

We’ll keep you updated on all the moves across the competition.

Here’s a look at all of the confirmed signings so far.

ALBION

Judd Brewster: Joins the Cats from Greenvale in the EDFL Premier Division. A half-forward capable of going through the middle.

Jack Bettin: Follows in the footsteps of his dad, Matt, who is a former player and president of the club. A versatile 18-year-old who had been playing with Caroline Springs.

Kane Holden: A returning junior from Sunshine. Holden play some senior footy for the Roos last year and is a midfielder and forward.

Maysen Murgov: Spent the 2024 season with Wycheproof Narraport where he played 16 senior games and kicked 14 goals. Murgov is a versatile tall.

Heath Ollington: Looking to transfer from Aberfeldie. He is listed at Williamstown VFL.

Zac Ollington: The Tasmanian joins from Wynyard and is the brother of Heath. A tough inside midfielder.

Blake Taylor: Arrives at the club from Doutta Stars. A halfback.

ALTONA

Connor Bulley: Joins from Sherwood Magpies in the QAFL. A 193cm tall forward.

Emerson Jeka: Returns to his junior club after spending time at AFL level with Hawthorn and Geelong.

Tyler Padgett: A former junior player back at the club. He’s spent time with Point Cook and Spotswood.

OUTS: Jake Whybrow (Barwon Heads), Nathan Clarke (Airport West)

CAROLINE SPRINGS

Cooper Bond: Has spent the last two years on East Keilor’s books but didn’t play in 2024. The former Lakers junior is a midfielder.

Ben Caluzzi: The former East Keilor captain arrives at the club with VFL experience.

Frank Campisi: Another returning player to the club who will add dash and craft to the forward line.

Malik Elfakahani: Crosses from East Keilor and will add depth up forward.

Shaun Ellis: The Lakers club favourite returns to the club after a one-year stint with West Footscray.

Oscar Gordon: Another former junior returning to the club. Gordon arrives from Yarraville Seddon where he played 18 senior games in 2024.

Ethan Mantas: A VFL listed player with the Northern Bullants who returns to the club. He was aligned with Parkside in 2024.

Carlo Riccardi: A former junior returning after a stint with East Keilor.

HOPPERS CROSSING

Jalen Jaimangal: Makes the move from Tarneit where he kicked 23 goals in his first season of season footy.

Klyde Milroy: Joins the club from rivals Yarraville where he won a reputation as a strong contested midfielder.

Arkii Van Wills: Makes the move from Yarraville and will play in the middle and up forward.

OUT: Jackson Viola (Sunshine Heights), Harley Armstrong-Weston (Sunshine Heights)

NEWPORT

Darcy Cassar: The dynamic midfielder arrives at the club fresh off a reserves premiership with Keilor.

Lukmain Haddara: The midfielder who can also slide across halfback joins from Point Cook Centrals. Played some VFL footy with Richmond.

Nayef Hamad: The goalkicking midfielder returns to the club after a year with East Keilor where he made the EDFL Team of the Year.

Bachar Houli: The three-time premiership star arrives at the club as arguably Newport’s greatest ever signing.

Sam Macafee: The 194cm defender joins the club from Port Melbourne Colts. Can be a lockdown or intercept player.

Aojak Mayen: Standing at 208cm, the Panthers have signed the athletic and mobile ruckman from East Keilor.

Harrison Minett: The inside midfielder has joined the club from Point Cook Centrals.

Phillip Moimoi: The VFL medium forward has aligned with the Panthers for the 2025 season.

Noah Pokia: A developing ruckman, 20, who crosses from Eastern league outfit Mulgrave.

Connor Wright: The 21-year-old joins the club from Palmerston in the NTFL. A small lockdown defender.

OUT: Milad Almatrah (Hillside), Josh Rafferty (Lorne), Ahmed Saad (Moonee Valley)

PARKSIDE

Matthew Bennardo: Opportunistic forward who has spent the last two seasons with the Northern Saints.

Jordan Briggs: Returns to the club after three years away. Possesses great speed and footy IQ.

Chris Benson: The big man returns to footy after a year away. Does well to cover the ground.

Liam Canny: A player with silky skills, can play in the middle or up forward. Joins from Montrose and has TSL experience.

Jordyn Croucher: A small forward chasing a new opportunity.

Jordan Filakis: The former Keilor Park vice-captain joins the club, he is capable of playing as an electric forward who can get up the ground.

Bruno Laguda: The former Essendon VFL player will be a big addition to the midfield.

Brodie Lyons-Jones: The exciting young talent joins from St Albans.

Chris Pereira: Makes the move from Tullamarine and also has experience with Keilor.

Will Pyke: Arrives from tatura in the Goulburn Valley and is capable of playing on the wing or across halfback.

Luke Rowland: The versatile big man is expected to add power to the forward line.

Rhys Smith: The key defender joins from East Keilor. His resume includes being a former league MVP and two-time club best-and-fairest.

Jayson Tomicic: A player of real quality having joined from Lara in the Geelong competition where he was a regular senior player.

POINT COOK

Carter Michael: The former Brisbane Lion has nominated the Dogs as his home club when he’s not at Williamstown VFL.

Josh Carter (formerly Hill): The 178-game AFL veteran will add vital experience to a young group.

OUT: Ryan Burton (Gordon), Hugh Wales (Coburg Districts), Lachlan Edwards (Fitzroy Stars)

POINT COOK CENTRALS

Luke McGowan: Recruited from Wagga Wagga. A key forward who can pinch hit in the ruck.

Tom Rowland: Played six VFL games with Coburg but was also a key player for Old Trinity in the VAFA.

Kyan Upsall: Spent time on Coburg’s VFL list this season but played all year at Old Trinity in the VAFA.

OUT: Aaron Law (Milawa), Henoch Kebede (Milawa), Josh Harris (Suns), Matthew Wright (Suns), Pele Manivong (Deer Park), Mark Galea (Deer Park), Harrison Minett (East Keilor)

SPOTSWOOD

Lachie Hunter: The Western Bulldogs premiership hero has been confirmed as the club’s first signing after retiring from the AFL.

SUNSHINE

Ash Buckland: The versatile tall joins from the AFL Sydney Premier competition.

Luke Barnard: Joins his brother at the club, a young player from St Bernard’s.

Diesel-Thanh Lim: Joins the Roos after captaining West Footscray’s under-18s team last season.

David McKinley: Returns to the club after playing with Macedon in recent seasons.

Jack Noonan: Makes the move from Koroit in the Hampden league.

Colin Skeen: The 20-year-old joins the Roos after a stint in Tasmania where he played 16 state league games.

Adam Styzunda: Had a year off footy in 2024 but has previously played for Warrnambool.

OUT: Nathan Carroll (St Albans), Buckley Chapman (Epping), Hisham Kerbatieh (Melton Centrals), Fabian Brancatisano (Melton Centrals)

WERRIBEE DISTRICTS

Daniel Nielson: The former Team of the Year forward returns to the club after a two-year stint with Vermont.

YARRAVILLE SEDDON

Out: Klyde Milroy (Hoppers), Arkii Van Wills (Hoppers), Lewis Stanton (Wyndhamvale), Oscar Gordon (Caroline Springs), Connor Dalgleish (Montmorency)

DIVISION 2

ALBANVALE

Kade Bellingham: Joins his brother Ostinn at the club after a stint with Tullamarine.

Jack Burgess: A two-time WFNL premiership player who joins from the Suns.

Dylan Fsadni: Joins from Greenvale.

Richard Ilsley: Joins from Greenvale.

Jye Kotoski: Arrives from Aberfeldie where he was a consistently strong performer in the under-18s.

Macauley Lonergan: Joins the club from Aspley in the QAFL.

Zac Papamihail: Capable of playing across the ground. He joins for his first season of footy. Formerly of West Footscray and Keilor.

OUT: Kieran Ryall (North Footscray)

BRAYBROOK

Kyle Desira: Returns to the club after a stint with Hadfield in the EDFL.

Jarrod Garth: The experienced player arrives after time under Ed Curnow at Lorne.

Luke Ranno: Arrives at the club from Lorne.

LAVERTON

Matt Davis: The goalkicker joins from Hepburn in the Central Highlands league. Also has experience with Altona.

Dylan Kizan: Set to play in a key position role, known for his overhead marking ability.

Jordan Lynch: The tall and versatile utility joins from Albanvale.

James Mcvey: The club say he is a ball magnet who returns to the footy fold after a couple of years away.

Corey Vandermeer: Joins the club from Point Cook Centrals where he won the reserves best-and-fairest in 2024.

From Altona: James Sadler , Dane Dale, Cam Worthing, Darcy Stoodley, Rohan Crawley and Jordan Panagiotidis.

OUT: Ayang Nyanjok (Sunshine Heights)

NORTH FOOTSCRAY

Blake Dascola: A lockdown defender who arrives from Melton Centrals.

Jesse Muscat: Played under-18 footy at Newport last season before breaking into the senior side. A strong young forward.

Kyle Rodgers: Joins from Melton Centrals where he was a speedy midfielder.

Jarrod Spry: The hard running midfielder joins the Devils fresh off a stint with Huntly, where he played 14 senior games in 2024.

Josh Spry: Described as a “smooth moving utility” who joins from the RDFNL.

Archie Thomson: A big man who can play right across the ground. He arrives from Chelsea.

Shaun Ujcich: Re-joins the club after a stint with Taylors Lakes in the EDFL.

SUNS

Tyson Palupe Gaby: A defender who takes pride in rebounding the footy.

Michael Hart: A wingman and half forward who joins from Parkside.

Dean Henderson: The wingman and half forward has joined from Point Cook Centrals.

Josh Harris: The key defender joins the club from Point Cook Centrals and has previously played at Wyndhamvale.

Declan McCorry: Returns to footy after a few years away.

Joel Sagona: Expected to play across halfback or the wing after arriving from Point Cook Centrals.

Brayden Schibeci: Makes the move from Werribee Districts . Plays across half-forward and the wing.

Matthew Wright: The halfback flanker joins the club from Point Cook Centrals.

OUT: Jesse Shell (Parkside)

SUNSHINE HEIGHTS

Harley Armstrong-Weston: One of the club’s biggest signings in recent memory. Joins off the back of a premiership with Hoppers Crossing.

Buddy Dettman: A versatile backman who can also slot into the middle.

Anthony Franzone: Returns to the Dragons after a one-year stint with Keilor Park.

Thibo Leclerc: Recently returned to Melbourne after playing basketball in France.

Ayang Nyanjok: Better known as AJ, the athletic tall joins the club and will be able to play at both ends of the ground.

Rocco Tripodi: Joins from Sunbury Kangaroos but most of his career has been spent with Avondale Heights.

Jackson Viola: A former Collingwood VFL player. He joins from Hoppers Crossing where he was a senior captain.

John Whitehouse: Joins the club after a two-year stint with Anakie.

OUT: Blake Brigham (West Footscray), Giovanni Raffaele (West Footscray), Kyall Parker (Koondrook Barham)

TARNEIT

OUT: Luke Mann (Bell Post Hill), Jalen Jaimangal (Hoppers Crossing), Josh Stone (Werribee Centrals)

WEST FOOTSCRAY

Dylan Appleby: Joins fresh off a reserves premiership with Sunshine where he kicked over 30 goals for the season.

Blake Brigham: Joins the club from Sunshine Heights.

Damian Furlong: The tall defender joins from Williamstown CYMS where he started his senior career.

Mitch Grubb: Played in Braybrook’s 2023 premiership and is a versatile player.

Jai Haines: The inside midfielder joins from VAFA club Williamstown CYMS.

Giovanni Raffaele: The ex-Heights leader has made the move to Shorten Reserve.

OUT: Damien Hough (Traralgon), Ethan Murphy (Wyndhamvale)

WESTERN RAMS

Jordan Brewer: A half forward who re-joins the club after some time away from footy.

Josh Cassar: The versatile 6’3” player can play in different positions across the ground.

Julian Costanzo: Joins the Rams after a year off footy having previously played for Burnside Heights.

Shane Emery: The young tall joins from Macedon where he was part of a successful under-19s program.

Braiden Gale: The halfback joins from Caroline Springs.

Dillon Gillard: Has previously played with Broadford and Wallan. Looms as a midfield addition.

Joel Grech: A lockdown defender who is still developing at 20.

Oscar Grech: Enjoys the challenge of shutting down opposition forwards.

Connor Korras: Expected to play up forward and in the middle. Has experience with Melton Centrals.

Jakob Lewer: Arrives from Melton South where he has played senior footy, mostly off halfback.

Will Markovski: A strong midfielder-forward who knows how to find his own footy.

Josh Miller: Returns to footy after recently focusing on basketball.

Will Touhey: Has experience with Sandhurst and is likely to hold up a key defensive post.

WYNDHAMVALE

Saad Ali: Makes the move from Newport as a lockdown defender who can play on all types of opponents.

Brock Jones: Joins from Werribee Districts where he kicked 26 goals in the under-18s last season.

Brendan Keys: A halfback who last played for Violet Town.

Alex Mackinnon: Re-joins the club after recovering from a knee injury in 2024.

Cameron Ord: The young halfback joins from Werribee Centrals.

Lewis Stanton: The key forward arrives at the Falcons after a stint with Yarraville Seddon.
