Werribee Districts have already played 10 different players to the side which took to the field in last year’s grand final and one position is already seeing a world of difference.

Werribee Districts’ incredible depth has been on display to start the season.
Across the opening three rounds, the reigning WFNL division one premier has played 10 different players from those who tasted senior premiership success in September last year.
Arguably the biggest change has been forward of centre with several new faces making their mark on the scoreboard.
Recruit Lucas Rocci, Michael Luxford (who missed last year’s grand final through injury), Jack Bonnett and Tim Jenkins all finished with two goals apiece in the 14.10 (94) to 12.10 (82) win over Hoppers Crossing on Anzac Day.
“It’s been all about sharing the load,” Districts coach Chris Gilham said.
“In previous years, we’ve had the likes of Andrew Panayi and Trent Lee down there. But we’ve got a different look now and some of the younger guys including Jack Bonnett are making the most of their opportunities.
“Our resting ruckman is down there, Ben McMahon and Josh Puli. Having the flexibility down there is something which works for us.”
Rocci was named best for the third straight game as Gilham highlighted his early impact.
“He’s a quality player,” he said.
“It’s great to have a junior player back at the club and we didn’t have to go out and recruit him, he wanted to come back.
“He’s been spending time up forward and through the middle. He’s a real competitor and that’s why the boys love him.”
Hoppers were able to bring the margin back to 12 points after kicking the last three goals of the game.
And Gilham was full of credit for the opposition.
“They’re a much improved side,” he said.
“It was a really physical game. Jed Anderson is quite impressive — tough, hard and physical.
“With Josh Pickess and Harley Armstrong-Weston in the ruck, they’ve got an A-grade midfield. They really got on top of us especially early.”
Districts will next take on Parkside and Gilham is excited by the challenge.
“They’re going to be a surprise packet,” he said.
“They’ve got some really impressive recruits. We’ll take a good look at them.”
