Tarneit has issued a call for “10 plus blokes” just days out from the WFNL season.
The Titans posted a selection of social media posts inviting new players to fill their reserves this weekend.
New Tarneit coach Vinnie Turcinovich confirmed it will “definitely” field a senior side and was “hopeful” for a reserves side.
Turcinovich admitted the league’s new structure had caused some turnover.
“Going into Division 2 probably scared a few players, then a few have tried to challenge themselves a bit higher and all of a sudden you’ve got minus 10,” he said.
“You’re seeing a lot of guys going into soccer and basketball, it’s getting harder and harder every year.”
Turcinovich is encouraging interested players sitting on the fence to come down.
“It’s a bit of a cliche but we’re a good club, the people around the club are hard working from the president to the committee,” he said.
“We have a really good playing group and they’re there not just to play, we’re there to be social and get better at footy.”
The Titans play Turcinovich’s old side Braybrook this weekend and the coach is expecting a strong challenge.
“Braybrook were second last or last last year but we watched them and they were pretty strong, they’ve recruited a mountain of players,” he said.
“Our challenge is to get better each week, improve individually and as a team, buy in and trust what we’re doing.
“It’s going to be a great challenge but we’ll be basic, beat your man, win the quarter and go from there.”
