The future of the Western Football Netball League is here now.

There is a wealth of talent running around the competition in season 2024.

We’ve picked out the best.

Jack Bonnett, Werribee Districts

After not playing senior footy last year, due to Werribee’s all conquering forward line, Bonnett has thrived after earning his shot. Currently is his side’s leading goalkicker this season.

Levi Boys, Hoppers Crossing

After stepping out of the under-18 competition, Boys has established himself as one of the leading young players in Division 1.

Connor Brown, Point Cook

Might have played round 1 in the reserves but Brown quickly found himself in the senior side and hasn’t lost his place since.

James Callaway, Altona

Enjoying a strong season under new coach Travis Varcoe. He’s found his best form in recent weeks.

Kai Capavilla, Wyndhamvale

Fell into the club’s lap after walking in at training one night. Remarkably started in the thirds but wasn’t long before he was a senior regular. Playing most of his footy down back.

Sam Clifford, Hoppers Crossing

Been impressive for the Warriors this season, playing arguably the best footy of his career.

Noah Cooney, Wyndhamvale

After just two games at 2pm last season, his form has demanded a spot this year. Goes through the middle of the ground but gets forward and kicks goals.

Ethan Di Battista, Werribee Districts

Played a key role in the premiership side last year and has again been a senior regular.

Charlie Di Stefano, Parkside

Crossed from Airport West earlier in the season and has been brilliant. Took one of the marks of the year.

Josh Gerolemou, Point Cook Centrals

Second season back with the club after a stint with Werribee. More opportunity around the footy this year with injuries to his key teammates and has responded well.

Hussein Hasna, Newport

Spent time between the under-18s and senior side this season but has been just as impressive at both levels.

Jack Heron, Caroline Springs

Has put together another impressive season in the middle as his side has powered its way into premiership contention.

Jalen Jaimangal, Tarneit

While it has been a difficult season, the young forward has impressed with his athleticism and forward craft.

William Kliszewski, Yarraville Seddon

Has become a senior regular this year and has continued his goalkicking form which made him such an impressive underage talent.

Billy Kolyniuk, Point Cook

A consistent player in what has been a very difficult season for the Bulldogs.

Socrates Mavrokostidis, West Footscray

After stepping out of the under-18s last season, he’s added plenty of excitement to the Roosters’ forward line.

Lachlan Mellon, Caroline Springs

Has locked down a position in the Lakers’ back six this season and can stop the opposition’s best forwards.

Klyde Milroy, Yarraville Seddon

Enjoying a positive second season with the club and is developing nicely.

Aaron Mould, Wyndhamvale

Holding down a key place in the Falcons defence this season. Has grown with the extra responsibility.

Matthew Payne, Spotswood

After a stint in Western Australia last year, Payne has returned to Spotswood and played some valuable midfield in the absence of key teammates. Does most of his damage across half-forward.

Bailey Raak, Caroline Springs

Debuted last year and it was the only game he played. Now a key part of the Lakers’ front six as a consistent goal kicker.

Colby Redpath, Altona

Has come right through the club’s junior system to become an exciting talent. Capable of playing multiple positions across the ground.

Chris Seymour, Spotswood

The former Geelong Falcon has consistently shown plenty of positives throughout the season.

Lachlan Smith, Werribee Districts

A consistent senior player throughout the last three years and has continued to play a key role for Districts.

Tom Stelluto, West Footscray

The young forward has enjoyed another strong season to be one of his side’s leading goalkickers.

Harrison White, Werribee Districts

Has been in and out of the Districts line-up with his form warranting VFL selection for Richmond. Been a star of the competition when available.
