Hoppers Crossing has made its first major recruiting move under new coach Jared Polec.
The Warriors have unveiled former AFL midfielder Jed Anderson as the club’s first new face for the 2024 season.
Anderson joins the club after a 99-game AFL career where he spent time between Hawthorn, North Melbourne and the Gold Coast Suns.
It’s a move which will see him play under his former North Melbourne teammate.
“The multi-skilled utility is keen to impart his knowledge and skills at the Warriors when he arrives in the new year,” the club said in a social media post.
Anderson is currently playing in the Northern Territory Football League with Southern Districts.
Among other moves, the Warriors have confirmed the re-signings of star pairs Braden Ferrari and Chase Guy so far.
The 2023 season was a difficult one for Hoppers as they finished last, winning just two games.
The club started pre-season training on November 13.
