Hugh Schmetzer has made a fine start to the season for Sandhurst and on Good Friday kicked four goals, taking his total to seven from two games, as his side recorded a big win over Strathfieldsaye. ESSENDON DISTRICT

Premier Division: Strathmore v Keilor at Lebanon Reserve, 2.15pm

The traditional clash between the two powerhouse clubs. Both sides will come into the contest undefeated in the opening fortnight of the season. A cracking contest is in store between the local rivals and leading contenders in Division 2.

Expect an entertaining battle between two teams looking to push up the ladder.

RIDDELL DISTRICT

Woodend-Hesket v Kyneton at Gilbert Gordon Reserve, 2.15pm

Gisborne Giants v Macedon at Macedon Ranges Sports Precinct, 4.15pm

A Good Friday double-header in the RDFNL, although it might be a bit tough to see both with 15km between the grounds. In the twilight game, newcomers Gisborne Giants are in the spotlight when they host Macedon with both looking for its first win of the campaign.

WESTERN

Division 1: Albion v Parkside at JR Parsons Reserve, 2.15pm

A first meeting between the pair since the 2023 Division 2 decider. Parkside will be desperate to bounce back after going down to Altona while Albion is looking to make it two on the trot. The Magpies will start as favourites.
