Here’s a look at the leading goalkickers across Victoria’s local footy competitions.
Jason Wells (Longwarry, Ellinbank and District) – 75 goals
Been in dominant form all season and is currently the leading goalkicker in the state.
Mason McGarrity (Neerim South, Ellinbank and District) – 69 goals
Has made an immediate impact since crossing from Warragul Industrials in the West Gippsland league.
Aaron Mullett (Wandin, Outer East) – 69 goals
The ex-AFL forward has been a dominant force all season, kicking his current tally in just eight games.
Ned McKeown (Tungamah, Picola and District) – 65 goals
Been a consistent goalkicker throughout the season to easily be clear in his own competition.
Ben Edwards (Birchip-Watchem, North Central) – 64 goals
Kicked 102 goals last season and is already in fine form after averaging more than nine goals a game.
Lewis Stanton (Wyndhamvale, Western) – 60 goals
A big name recruit at the start of the season who has thrived after crossing from Yarraville Seddon. A key in his side’s premiership push.
James Lloyd (Murchison-Toolamba, Kyabram District) – 58 goals
After booting 137 goals last season, Lloyd is on track to give the ton another crack this season.
Jack Sharlassian (Hallam, Southern) – 58 goals
A dominant force for the premiership contender this season with an average of almost six goals a game.
Cooper Thomason (Bright, Ovens and King) – 57 goals
Finished on 99 goals last season and will be determined to reach triple figures this year.
Lachie Sharp (Bridgewater, Bridgewater) – 56 goals
Booted 138 goals last season and is on track for another huge haul.
Liam Evans (Nathalia, Murray) – 54 goals
A star for a long time with the Purps. He’s closing in on the 750-goal milestone.
Mark Stevens (Lyndale, Southern) – 53 goals
Recruited from Oakleigh Districts at the start of the season, Stevens has proven to be a gun pick up.
Michael Newton (Whorouly, Ovens and King) – 53 goals
Has booted 53 goals in just seven appearances after crossing from Wangaratta.
Robbie Hare (Allansford, Warrnambool and District) – 52 goals
A leading name in recent years on this list who continues to deliver.
Guy Telford (Kiewa Sandy Creek, Tallangatta and District) – 51 goals
Has returned to the club this season after a stint with Cudgewa in the Upper Murray league.
Duane Haebich (Goorambat, Ovens and King) – 50 goals
After missing all of last year, he’s currently averaging 5 goals a game.
