VFL mainstay Williamstown and its chief executive officer Jason Reddick have parted ways.
The respected Reddick left the club yesterday, surprising other staff members.
Club officials were briefing them this morning about Reddick’s departure.
It’s believed former president Freddie Hall has stepped in as acting CEO.
Reddick has been with Williamstown since January, 2015, joining it from AFL club Carlton, where he worked in various capacities for 20 years.
He was the Blues’ acting CEO in 2014 and its chief financial officer from 2000 to 2015.
In his time at Willy Reddick oversaw the redevelopment of the Point Gellibrand ground, including lighting, an electronic scoreboard and a $2 million reconstruction of the playing surface.
Under his watch the club won the 2015 premiership and has been in the top four in every completed season since.
The Towners also introduced senior women’s football to gain a VFLW licence.
Reddick took over at Willy from long-time CEO Brendan Curry.
Reddick and Williamstown have been contacted for comment.
