VAFA outline Men’s Division sections for 2023
The VAFA have confirmed the men’s division sections for 2023 amid a number of minor team changes.

The VAFA have confirmed the men’s division sections for 2023 with all competitions set to consist of 18 matches played across 18 rounds.
Alongside the promoted and relegated teams, the VAFA have announced Westbourne Grammarians will compete in the Men’s Thirds Competition as opposed to the Division 4 Men’s.
The VAFA said it was “a decision made on the basis of rebuilding the club, recruiting players with the intention of returning to senior football within 12 months.”
Among the changes to the divisions included a name change for Prahran Assumption who will be now known as Prahran FC.
The announcement also confirmed newly formed club Old Yarra Cobras will play in the division two competition in their inaugural season.
Emmaus St Leo’s will be running out under the banner of Wattle Park FC in 2023.

Division 1 Men’s – UHS-VU AFC, Preston Bullants, Kew FC, Glen Eira, Prahran FC, Oakleigh AFC, Therry Penola AFC, Old Peninsula, Ivanhoe AFC and West Brunswick
Promoted: Ivanhoe AFC and West Brunswick
Relegated: UHS-VU and Preston Bullants
Division 2 Men’s – Whitefriars, St Mary’s Salesian, Brunswick FC, Old Paradians, MHSOB, Aquinas OC, Bulleen Templestowe, Old Yarra Cobras, South Melbourne Districts and Parkside
Relegated: St Mary’s Salesian and Whitefriars
Promoted: South Melbourne Districts and Parkside
Division 3 Men’s – Power House AFC, Elsternwick AFC, Canterbury, Wattle Park AFC, Hawthorn AFC, Richmond Central AFC, La Trobe University and Swinburne University
Relegated: Power House AFC
Promoted: La Trobe University and Swinburne University
Division 4 Men’s – North Brunswick AFC, St Johns OC, Masala Football Club, Albert Park AFC, Eley Park and Box Hill North AFC
Relegated: North Brunswick AFC and Westbourne Grammarians
