Port Melbourne Colts have had Michael Hibberd, Tom Bellchambers and Josh Caddy play this year.
And next week it could add another ex-AFL man to its books in the form of Australian Football Hall of Fame inductee Dane Swan.
The Colts lodged Swan’s clearance on Sunday in the final hours before the deadline on closed.
Swan, who has played across the state this year in one-off appearances, is aiming to play out the remainder of the season at the Colts.
Port Melbourne Colts footy operations manager Elton Stevens said club legend Jack Love was at it again.
“We’ve been chasing him for a few years,” Stevens said.
“Jack Love has been working hard behind the scenes and with injuries and blokes going to Europe a window opened up.”
Love is also responsible for signing Hibberd and Bellchambers this season.
The Colts are in fifth on the Southern league Division 1 table with seven rounds left in the home-and-away campaign.
